Prof Dr Larry Silver

Larry Silver (PhD Harvard, 1974) was born in 1947. He is the Farquhar Professor of Art History at the University of Pennsylvania and formerly taught at Berkeley and Northwestern. He is a specialist in painting and graphics of Northern Europe, particularly Germany and the Netherlands, during the era of Renaissance and Reformation. He has served as President of the Historians of Netherlandish Art and of the College Art Association. Larry Silver published a number of articles on Bosch, contributed to books and exhibition catalogues on Bosch and in 2006, he published the monograph Hieronymus Bosch, which was translated in French and German.
